Special Programs:

Lunch Bunch Programs
Nicole Gerami, M.A., CCC-SLP, provides consulting services to parents who need help setting up a lunch bunch program in their child's school. Ms. Gerami can work with your child's school speech-language pathologist to set up a quality lunch bunch program designed to enhance social interaction with typically developing peers. Families, rather than schools, usually pay for these services. For more information, contact Ms. Gerami.

Talking Parties
Six times each year Nancy Theofrastous, MA, CCC-SLP, offers Talking Parties, one for toddlers and preschoolers and one for elementary school age children. These are group therapy sessions for children with speech-language delays and disorders. Therapy focuses on produciton of articulation and expressive language targets in functional communication with peers and adults. Activities typically include book reading, games, motor play, and snack. If you are interested in finding out whether your child might benefit from this service, please speak with Nancy Theofrastous or Nicole Gerami at WRSLP.

Monthly Music Therapy
Nancy Theofrastous, MA, CCC-SLP, of WRSLP and a music therapist from the Cleveland Music School Settlement offer co-treatment sessions one Friday per month. Sessions focus on facilitation of speech-language and social communication goals through songs and sound play. Songs that target specific speech-language behaviors are written for each child, taught to the children during the session, and provided to the families on a compact disc.
